My Background

I am Ramhari Timsina, a Nepali tourism entrepreneur, senior professional tour guide, international travel professional, and freelance tourism writer with a strong commitment to sustainable tourism, cultural interpretation, and responsible travel. I originate from Dhading District, Nepal, an area rich in natural beauty and cultural diversity, which shaped my early passion for tourism. From a young age, I traveled extensively across Nepal, gaining deep knowledge of cultural and historical heritage sites, pilgrimage destinations, national parks, trekking routes, rural tourism areas, and indigenous communities. I am a graduate of Tribhuvan University, and my academic background, combined with hands-on field experience, has laid a solid foundation for my professional, ethical, and culturally sensitive approach to tourism.

Over the years, I have established myself as a senior tour guide and tourism entrepreneur, working independently and in collaboration with reputable travel and tour companies in Nepal. My professional expertise includes tour planning and itinerary design, destination research and interpretation, visitor and group management, and the promotion of sustainable and community-based tourism practices. As a freelance guide, I have worked with travelers from diverse cultural backgrounds, delivering authentic and meaningful travel experiences that emphasize cultural preservation and community benefits. Alongside guiding, I contribute to the tourism sector as a freelance writer, focusing on Nepal’s culture, heritage, and responsible tourism while drawing insights from my international travel experiences across Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and East Asia. These global journeys have strengthened my understanding of international tourism standards, conservation-based tourism, destination branding, and cross-cultural engagement.
